Anwar Wants Smart Park in Kayu Putih to Be Closely Guarded

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar asked all of his subordinates to monitor Smart Park at RT 11/09 Kayu Putih, Pulogadung thus people do not use it as gathering place in order to anticipate COVID-19 transmission.

Smart Park has been closed since last week

He emphasized that RT 11/09 Kayu Putih is undergoing micro lockdown for 14 days, after 22 residents were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"Smart Park has been closed since last week. Because people often gather in this place at night. Besides, 22 residents in the neighborhood have been exposed to COVID-19. That's why this park is closed," he said.

Mass Vaccination Held at RT 11/09 Kayu Putih

He assessed that people should avoid crowd because they don't know if there are people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the crowd.

"I'm worried there are new positive cases but they don't report it because there are no symptoms. But then when they interact with others, it creates new cluster," he conveyed.

He explained that if the surrounding environment are safe and free from COVID-19, Smart Park will be reopened. However, Satpol PP must closely guard it to prevent crowd in the location.
